- Amaszonas Paraguay, a subsidiary of Bolivian operator Amaszonas, has added two new Brazil markets to its route map this week, with the carrier launching flights from Asuncion (ASU) to Rio de Janeiro Galeao (GIG) and Sao Paulo Viracopos (VCP). Both inaugurated on 17 January, flights to Galeao will be flown three times weekly, while Viracopos will be served four times weekly according to the carrier’s booking engine. Both 1,474- and 1,081-kilometre sectors will be flown by the airline’s CRJ 200s, with neither route facing direct competition.
