There were celebrations at Valencia Airport on 26 March where a special cake was baked to welcome the arrival of Alitalia’s inaugural service from Rome Fiumicino. The Italian flag carrier will operate the 1,099-kilometre route daily with A320 family aircraft and faces incumbent competition in the form of Vueling.

The Italian national carrier will operate the 1,099-kilometre sector daily using A320 family aircraft. It faces direct competition on this airport pair in the form of Vueling, which will offer nine flights on the route during the week commencing 27 March.
