Avianca commenced flights between Lima and Mendoza on 1 April. Among those to take part in the inaugural flight ceremony were: María Elena Cardenas Valenzuela, Director Airports South America, Avianca; Martín Torres, Sales Manager Argentina, Avianca; and Gabriela Testa, President of Ente Mendoza Turismo.
- Avianca commenced flights between Lima (LIM) and Mendoza (MDZ) on 1 April, with this becoming the airline’s only route to the latter airport. The Star Alliance member will operate a daily service between the Peruvian capital and the Argentinean city, with it scheduled to fly the 2,461-kilometre link using its fleet of A320s. Competition on the city pair comes from LATAM Airlines, with it already offering four weekly flights when referencing OAG schedules.
