Delta Orlando Amsterdam

Delta Air Lines commenced non-stop services between Orlando and Amsterdam on 30 March, with the route officially being opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony at the US-end. The SkyTeam member will operate the 7,287-kilometre route daily using its 767-300s, with this being the airline’s only transatlantic sector from Orlando.

  • Delta Air Lines began a daily service between Orlando (MCO) and Amsterdam (AMS) on 30 March, with this route becoming the SkyTeam member’s only transatlantic service from the Florida airport. For Amsterdam, it means that it is served from nine US cities courtesy of Delta, with the USB3 carrier also connecting the Netherlands hub to Atlanta, Boston, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, New York JFK, Portland, Salt Lake City and Seattle-Tacoma. A tenth route from Los Angeles will begin in June. Meanwhile, the 7,287-kilometre sector between Orlando and Amsterdam will be flown using Delta’s fleet of 767-300s, with the carrier not facing any direct competition on the airport pair. However it should be noted that TUI Airlines Netherlands provides a twice-weekly (Mondays and Fridays) service between Amsterdam and Orlando Sanford.
