WOW air checks into Cleveland

This handsome looking cake was baked to mark the start of WOW air’s latest foray across the Atlantic, this route being a four times weekly service to Cleveland. Icelandair will start operations from Reykjavik/Keflavik to the Ohio airport in the coming weeks.
- WOW air introduced its latest US link to its network on 3 May, adding a four times weekly service between Reykjavik/Keflavik (KEF) and Cleveland (CLE) to its S18 schedule. With the introduction of this service, it ends a nine-year hiatus of transatlantic flying from the Ohio airport, with its last transcontinental services having been routes to London Heathrow and Paris CDG in 2009 with the then named Continental Airlines according to OAG schedules. WOW air will operate flights to Cleveland using its fleet of A321s, with the service from Iceland not facing competition at the time of launch. However, it should be noted that Icelandair will begin serving Cleveland from Reykjavik/Keflavik in the coming weeks. See how Cleveland Airport’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.
