Eurowings says we fly after you voted for Mostar

Eurowings Düsseldorf and Stuttgart to Mostar

On 16 May, Mostar Airport welcomed the first of two new Eurowings flights, the initial sector being from Düsseldorf. The city in Bosnia and Herzegovina won the LCC’s first ‘You Vote, We Fly’ competition which took place in October last year. Košice will be the second destination launched in this way later this year.

Festivities were a bit more modest three days later on 19 May, when Mostar celebrated the start of Eurowings’ flights from Stuttgart with a thumbs up on the apron.

  • Eurowings has come good on its promise to fly to a destination selected by the public, namely Mostar (OMO). The city in Bosnia and Herzegovina won the LCC’s first ‘You Vote, We Fly’ competition which took place in October last year. Twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) services from Düsseldorf (DUS) began on 16 May, with weekly flights (Saturdays) from Stuttgart (STR) beginning on 19 May. Both sectors are flown by the carrier’s Q400s and neither faces any direct competition. Košice will be the second destination launched in this way by Eurowings later this year. See how Mostar Airport’s two FTWAs compare to others from around the world
