Ryanair launches two more Manchester routes

Ponta Delgada celebrated the arrival of the inaugural Ryanair service from Manchester on 7 June. The Irish ULCC will operate the route weekly with flights on Thursdays. Cutting the cake baked to celebrate the occasion are Andreia Cunha, Ryanair Sales and Marketing Manager Portugal; José Manuel Bolieiro, Mayor of Ponta Delgada; Marta Caeiro, Regional Secretary for Energy, Environment and Tourism for the Azores; and José Luis Alves, Airport Director, Ponta Delgada.

  • Ryanair has launched two more routes from Manchester (MAN) in the last week with services starting to Venice Treviso (TSF) on 5 June and to Ponta Delgada (PDL) in the Azores on 7 June. The 1,344-kilometre Treviso link will be operated three times weekly, while the 2,494-kilometre Ponta Delgada sector will be flown weekly (Thursdays). Both routes will be served by the carrier’s 737-800s. Although neither route will face direct competition at airport pair level, Venice is already served from Manchester, with easyJet, Jet2.com and Thomson Airways all operating from the Northern UK airport to Venice Marco Polo in S18. OAG schedules show the Irish ULCC will now offer scheduled services to 57 destinations from Manchester during S18. See how Ponta Delgada Airport’s FTWA compares to others from around the world.

I think easy jet is a really a good airline. Would you think of flying from Manchester to Gazipasa Turkey as this year we have had loads of new flights from several companys into Antalya. Direct from Egland would be great. Thanks
