ASL Airlines adds domestic and Moroccan route mix from Bordeaux and Strasbourg

Bordeaux celebrated the launch of a new direct domestic service to Strasbourg plus an indirect connection to Oujda in Morocco on 14 June. After stopping in Strasbourg the aircraft continues on to Oujda with flights operating weekly on Thursdays. Cutting the ribbon to mark the new routes were Jean-Luc Poiroux, VP Commercial Development, Bordeaux Airport; Edmund Linton, Passenger sales, ASL Airlines; and Catherine Caraglio, Head of Route Development, Bordeaux Airport.

  • ASL Airlines began direct services from Bordeaux (BOD) to Strasbourg (SXB) and from Strasbourg to Oujda (OUD) in Morocco, on 14 June, with flights to Oujda also available from Bordeaux via Strasbourg. The aircraft operates Bordeaux-Strasbourg-Oujda-Strasbourg-Bordeaux. Flights to Strasbourg, and then onward to Oujda, will depart Bordeaux weekly on Thursdays. According to OAG schedules, the 756-kilometre direct domestic connection is already flown eight times per week by Volotea. However, there is no incumbent competition on the 2,474-kilometre indirect Bordeaux-Oujda route, or on the 1,717-kilometre direct link between Strasbourg and Oujda. The complete itinerary will be flown by the airline’s 737-300s. Schedule data reveals that ASL Airlines will also offer direct services from Bordeaux to Toulon and Oran during S18.
