Air Canada Rouge commences three Canadian domestic connections

Air Canada Kamloops

Cutting the cake in Kamloops on 21 June, celebrating the launch of Air Canada Rouge’s new connection from Toronto Pearson, are: Serge Corbeil, Director, Government Relations, Western Region, Air Canada; Heather McCarley, MD, Kamloops Airport; Ken Christian, Mayor of Kamloops; Beverley DeSantis, CEO, Tourism Kamloops; and Arlene Schieven, President & CEO, Sun Peaks Resort. The airline will operate the route three times weekly.

  • Air Canada Rouge enhanced its domestic connections this week by launching three intra-Canadian services. The carrier started off the proceedings on 21 June by launching a three times weekly serving between Toronto Pearson (YYZ) and Kamloops (YKA). The carrier will face no direct competition on the 3,137-kilometre sector. The following day, the airline then linked its Pearson base to Nanaimo (YCD), a 3,396-kilometre city pair on which it will offer four weekly flights, and like Kamloops, both routes will face no direct competition. The 22 June also witnessed the airline expanding its domestic services from Montreal (YUL), launching a three times weekly service on a 3,711-kilometre airport pair with Victoria (YYJ). This route too faces no direct competition. The airline will serve all three routes utilising its fleet of 136-seat A319s.
