IndiGo adds Hubli to growing network

IndiGo has added Hubli to its network with the launch of five new connections in the last week. Performing the Diya lighting ceremony to mark the route launches was Cindy Szadokierski, VP of Airport Operations, IndiGo, (second right) who was accompanied by her team. The LCC’s first passenger from Hubli was given the honour of cutting the ceremonial ribbon to mark the launch of services.

  • IndiGo has introduced Hubli (HBX) to its network, with the launch of five connections from that airport in the past seven days. The longest link is the 895-kilometre sector from Ahmedabad (AMD) to Hubli, while the shortest is the 135-kilometre connection from Hubli to Goa (GOI). The average sector length for the new airport pairs is 520 kilometres, and they will all be operated with daily flights. Two of the sectors will be flown by ATR 72-600s, with the remainder operated by A320s. Speaking when the new Hubli routes were announced in May, Sanjay Kumar, CCO, IndiGo said: “ We are pleased to add Hubli on the IndiGo network, as it is an important commercial centre and a tourist destination of north Karnataka. With rising business and tourism stemming from the southern hubs, IndiGo is determined to provide the best travel experience to all those who wish to fly to these destinations.”
