FlyLolo starts Skiathos service from Southampton

FlyLolo Southampton to Skiathos

Linking Southampton with a direct route to Greece for the first time, is market entrant FlyLolo. Launching the route with a bit of flag-waving and a tasty-looking cake were: Councillor Spiros Vassiliou; Neil Garwood, Southampton Airport MD; Paul Dendle, FlyLolo CEO; and Steven Marshall, Southampton Airport Head of Airline Marketing & Development.

  • FlyLolo, a virtual carrier which utilises other airline capacity, launched services from Southampton (SOU) to Skiathos (JSI) on 3 July. The 2,337-kilometre sector will use a Flybe E195 on a weekly basis (Tuesdays) to operate the route. No other carrier flies between the two destinations, and the seasonal service will operate until 2 October. Neil Garwood, Southampton Airport MD said: “We are really excited to finally launch the flight to Skiathos. We are committed to providing more exciting destinations to our customers, and this is the first time we’ve opened up a getaway to the Eastern Mediterranean. We are looking forward to continuing our relationship with FlyLolo.” Paul Dendle, FlyLolo CEO added: “We’re excited that this is the first ever flight from Southampton to Greece, we see this as an important moment in the development of Southampton Airport which provides a stress-free alternative to the London airports. It’s a first step for our expansion plans for 14 destinations next year to the Eastern Mediterranean.”
