VietJetAir launched its latest route from Da Nang on 19 July, a daily A320-operated service to Daegu in South Korea. The airline will face direct competition on the city pair from t’way air and Air Busan. Daegu becomes the airline’s second route to South Korea from Da Nang, with it already offering a twice-daily service to Seoul Incheon.
- VietJetAir launched its latest international sector on 19 July, beginning a daily service from Da Nang (DAD) to Daegu (TAE) in South Korea. The Vietnamese low-cost operator will serve the 2,993-kilometre city pair using its fleet of A320s, with competition on the route coming from t’way air (daily) and Air Busan (twice-weekly) according to OAG schedules. Flights depart from Da Nang at 00:35, landing into the South Korean city at 06:50 in the morning local time. Return flights then depart at 07:50, arriving back into Vietnam at 10:20. This is the airline’s second route to South Korea from Da Nang, with it already offering a twice-daily service to Seoul Incheon this summer. Overall the carrier offers six routes from Da Nang, with it also serving four domestic routes to Can Tho, Hai Phong, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City.
