LEVEL rises in Vienna with eight new routes

Alicante welcomed the inaugural LEVEL service from Vienna with this traditional water arch salute on 11 August. The IAG LCC will serve this airport twice-weekly with A321s and faces direct competition from Eurowings. LEVEL launched eight new routes in total from Vienna over the last week, with four being Spanish connections.
- LEVEL launched eight more routes from its new Vienna (VIE) base in the last week. The latest links include four connections to Spanish destinations. All eight routes will be operated by A321s, of which the carrier has four stationed in Vienna, and each one faces direct competition. However, only the Paris CDG (CDG) route will see competition from fellow IAG operator Vueling. Frequencies vary from 13 per week on the Milan Malpensa (MXP) and CDG sectors, to twice-weekly on the Alicante (ALC) and Valencia (VLC) connections. The sector lengths for the new routes range from 631 kilometres on the Dubrovnik (DBV) link to 2,034 kilometres on the Larnaca (LCA) route. The average sector length of the eight routes is 1,371 kilometres. LEVEL’s Vienna base operation has been up and running since 17 July, when it launched services to London Gatwick, Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca.
