Air Arabia Maroc starts six new services, including four domestic links

Vienna was one of two European airports to celebrate new links with Air Arabia Maroc on 29 October. Cutting the ribbon in the Austrian capital to welcome the inaugural flight from Marrakech were: A.K. Nizar, Head Commercial Air Arabia Maroc (2nd left); Nikolaus Gretzmacher, SVP Operations, Vienna Airport; Leila Lopez, Head of Ground Ops, Air Arabia Maroc and El Mehdi Badr, Sales Supervisor, Air Arabia Maroc.

  • Air Arabia Maroc launched six new services at the start of W18/19, with three routes launching on 28 October and a further three on the following day. The new sectors include four Moroccan domestic connections, including two routes to Dakhla (VIL), its first to the airport. It also launched two new international links to Vienna (VIE) and Basel (BSL). Frequencies on the new routes range from one to four weekly. The longest of the new sectors is the 2,765-kilometre connection to Vienna, while the shortest is the 226-kilometre hop from Fez (FEZ) to Errachidia (ERH). The average sector length across the six services is 1,398 kilometres. Three of the new routes will face direct competition.
