Tampa Airport wins Cake of the Week W18/19 public vote Part I; pick your winner from the 21 cakes in Part II – voting extended

Tampa was the winner of Cake of the Week W18/19 Part I with 41% of the public vote for this impressive Niagara Falls-themed bake, produced to celebrate the arrival of Swoop services from Hamilton. The second-placed airport was Cork with 32% of the vote, with the Irish airport producing a tram-shaped cake to welcome its new connection to Lisbon. There are another 21 cakes to choose from in Part II of this bi-annual competition.
Tampa Airport took home the title for best bake in Part I of our public vote for the best route launch cakes at the start of W18/19. The Floridian airport, a perennial challenger for Cake of the Week, proved that it’s not just the anna.aero judges that are impressed with its baking skills, winning 41% of the vote for the Niagara Falls-themed cake it produced for Swoop’s inaugural flight from Hamilton. All 13 cakes from last week received at least one vote, with Cork finishing second (32% of votes) and Tallinn coming in third position (12%).
Tampa enjoyed a double success this week, having also bagged the best Fire Truck Water Arch (FTWA) title. As well as cakes, we have been flooded again this week with new route FTWAs – see our FTWA vote here.
Just like last week, the rules are very strict: you have to get as many votes as you can to win. So if you want your new route cake to win, get everyone in your airport/airline to vote, get it shared on Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, Pinterest, Snapchat and get re-tweeting! N.B. The airport names which are underlined are the bakers of the cake(s) in question. The results will be published in next week’s newsletter. Get voting now!!
