Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run 2019 is open for business!
Open for business – register for Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run 7.0
The chance to run on the runway of a major airport is a very rare privilege in daylight, but Budapest Airport will close runway 13R-31L for just a few hours on Saturday 31 August so that the seventh air transport industry’s premier charity-sport spectacular can take place in bright central European sunshine. There are two race distances – 10km and 5km (a distance even sofa-loving revenue management executives can achieve) with an 11:00 mass start for 1,000 lucky runners drawn from the world’s airlines, airports, and air transport partners.
First and foremost this is a charity event – but unlike many marathons and charity races, there’s no need for participants to raise large cash sponsorship targets – competitors have to pay just a €35 per runner entrance fee with 100% of this sum donated to the benefiting charities.
