United Airlines adds San Francisco to Amsterdam service

United Airlines launched flights between San Francisco and Amsterdam on 30 March, with the first flight touching down in the Netherlands the following day. The Star Alliance member will serve the route daily using 787-9s.
- United Airlines launched flights between San Francisco (SFO) and Amsterdam (AMS) on 30 March. The airline will serve the 8,781-kilometre transatlantic service daily using its fleet of 787-9s. Competition on the sector comes from KLM, which according to OAG schedules offers 11 weekly services on the city pair. Along with this new service, the Star Alliance member has inaugurated 10 new routes across North America, including its first flights to Everett Paine Field (PAE).
