Cathay Pacific Airways launches flights to its sixth Japanese gateway

Cathay Pacific Airways launched operations between Hong Kong and Komatsu on 3 April, with this becoming the carrier’s sixth destination in Japan after Nagoya, Osaka Kansai, Sapporo Chitose, plus Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports. The oneworld member will link Hong Kong to Komatsu twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays).

  • Cathay Pacific Airways launched flights between its home base of Hong Kong (HKG) and Komatsu (KMQ) on 3 April. The oneworld member will operate the 2,672-kilometre sector twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Saturdays) using its fleet of A330-300s. No other airline currently serves this airport pair. Komatsu becomes the airline’s sixth destination in Japan, with it already linking Hong Kong with Nagoya, Osaka Kansai, Sapporo Chitose, plus Tokyo’s Haneda and Narita airports.
