Finnair finds its way to Bologna

Smiles all round! Finnair continues its expansion in Italy by introducing flights between Helsinki and Bologna. The oneworld member will operate this route three times weekly using its mixed fleet of narrow-body aircraft.
- Finnair has introduced a new connection between Helsinki (HEL) and Bologna (BLQ). The 1,976-kilometre airport pair was launched 10 April, a route that the oneworld member will operate three times weekly using its mixed fleet of narrow-body aircraft, including E190s and A320 series. No other operator is currently flying non-stop between the two cities. Bologna will serve as Finnair’s eighth destination to Italy. Other routes include Venice Marco Polo in which the carrier serves daily, whilst the fashion capital of Milan is served as a twice-daily route. The new route will prove beneficial for connections as in a bid to boost further tourism in Finland the airport continues to provide free stopovers to passengers travelling through Helsinki.
