- TAROM celebrated the launch of two capital connections from Bucharest (OTP) on 3 April, with the airline starting links to Cairo (CAI) in Egypt and Yerevan (EVN) in Armenia. The airline will operate to the African capital city twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) using its fleet of 737-300s, with no other operator presently flying the 1,670-kilometre sector. The 1,576-kilometre city pair of Bucharest and Yerevan will be served by TAROM twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Fridays), again facing no direct competition. Services to Armenia will be flown using A318s based on OAG Schedules Analyser data.
