Cambodia Airways launched flights from Phnom Penh to Bangkok Suvarnabhumi on 11 April. It becomes the sixth airline to serve the airport pair after Bangkok Airways, JC International Airlines, Lanmei Airlines, Thai Airways and THAI Smile. - Cambodia Airways became the sixth airline to serve the airport pair of Phnom Penh (PNH) and Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK). It joins Bangkok Airways (six times daily), THAI Smile (11 times weekly), JC International Airlines (10 times weekly), Thai Airways (daily) and Lanmei Airlines (six times weekly), with the newest carrier on the 504-kilometre route, which inaugurated its services on 11 April between the Cambodian and Thai cities, planning to offer a daily rotation using its fleet of A319s. Along with direct competition, there is also indirect competition from Thai AirAsia which provides a three times daily link from Phnom Penh to Bangkok Don Mueang.
