Wizz Air launched operations on a new route between Dortmund and Palanga on 21 April, a service that it will operate twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) this summer using A320s. This is the carrier’s second route to Lithuania from Dortmund, adding to its existing twice-weekly connection between the German city and Vilnius.
- Wizz Air launched flights between Dortmund (DTM) and Palanga (PLQ) on 21 April. The ULCC will operate the 1,014-kilometre route twice-weekly (Wednesdays and Sundays) this summer using its fleet of A320s. No other operator is currently serving the airport pair. This becomes the airline’s second route to Lithuania from Dortmund, joining existing services to Vilnius, a route which too operates twice-weekly (Mondays and Fridays). With this launch, it brings to 29 the number of routes that the low-cost airline operates from Dortmund. A 30th route, namely to Ohrid, will begin on 2 July.
