La Compagnie shakes things up on the transatlantic front in Nice

La Compagnie Nice New York

La Compagnie launched its inaugural service from New York Newark to Nice on 5 May, with the aircraft touching down in the French Riviera the following morning. The route will soon be operated by the carrier’s A321LRs. However, as the two aircraft that it has on order with the European manufacturer have not yet been delivered, the new link will be flown using the airline’s existing 757-200s which are configured in an all-business 74-seat layout.

  • La Compagnie, the all-business class airline, has launched its second non-stop service between France and the US. On 5 May, the company inaugurated flights between New York Newark (EWR) and Nice (NCE). Flightradar24.com shows that the aircraft which will serve this 6,428-kilometre airport pair will operate a Paris Orly – New York Newark – Nice – New York Newark – Paris Orly rotation. The route will soon be operated by the carrier’s A321LRs. However, as the two aircraft that it has on order with the European manufacturer have not yet been delivered, the new link will be flown using the airline’s existing 757-200s which are configured in an all-business 74-seat layout. The route will operate four times weekly. The launch of this service by La Compagnie breaks the monopoly of services to Nice from New York, with Delta Air Lines currently offerings a summer seasonal, daily service from New York JFK to the French airport.
