- JetSMART, which recently entered the Argentinian market, launching two domestic routes in the nation last week. On 7 May, the carrier initiated a twice-weekly (Mondays and Thursdays) service between Buenos Aires El Palomar (EPA) and Tucuman (TUC), although the inaugural departure took place on a Tuesday. The carrier will serve the 1,062-kilometre route in direct competition with Flybondi which also operates a twice-weekly service. On 9 May, the airline initiated services on a second domestic connection, this time between Neuquen (NQN) and Mendoza (MDZ). The 681-kilometre link will also be served by the carrier twice-weekly (Thursdays and Sundays), facing direct competition from Aerolineas Argentinas which provides a daily link on the city pair. Both new routes launched by JetSMART this week will be served using its fleet of A320s.
