United adds Halifax Stanfield and Prague as new connections

  • United Airlines launched two new services to kick start the carriers S19 schedule, with the first of its routes between Chicago O’Hare (ORD) to Halifax Stanfield (YHZ) on 06 June. The daily non-stop service will cover the 1,988-kilometre sector using a fleet of Embraer aircraft. Joyce Carter, President & CEO, Halifax International Airport Authority (HIAA) commented on the launch “Adding Chicago to the list of destinations served from Halifax on a non-stop basis demonstrates United Airlines’ confidence in our city, our province and our region”. In addition to this route a daily service between Newark (EWR) to Prague (PRG) was launched on 07 June. The route will utilise a fleet of B767s to cover the the 6,568-kilometre sector distance. Both of United’s newest routes currently face no direct competition from any other carriers.
