Sichuan Airlines arrives in Rome Fiumicino

Sichuan Airlines launched flights between Chengdu to Rome Fiumicino on 22 June. A fantastic cake was baked to mark the inauguration of the new route connecting the Chinese city to the Italian capital.
- Sichuan Airlines launched services between Chengdu (CTU) and Rome Fiumicino (FCO) on 22 June. According to OAG Schedules Analyser the new connection will cover a distance of 7,928-kilometres three times a week using a fleet of A330s. The Chengdu-Rome direct route is the first of its kind between the two cities and marks Sichuan Airlines’ very first entry into the Italian market as well as in the Mediterranean area, according to the Chinese carrier.
