Judges’ comments: Our winner this week, Seychelles Airport’s RFFS ticked all the great water arch boxes with this contender: accuracy, height, curvature and a nice bit of spray to complete the show.
James 8.5, Mohammad 8.2, Kerry 8.3, Paul 8.4.
Judges’ comments: a nice alternative angle for Venice’s FTWA entry, this inaugural service to Istanbul just misses out on the win this time following extensive deliberation amongst the judging panel.
James 8.1, Mohammad 8.0, Kerry 8.2, Paul 8.1.
Judges’ comments: A very good night time entry from Yangon this week – perhaps trying to emulate the success of last week’s winner? While it doesn’t quite take the crown this time, its good to see a new contender put in such a strong performance.
James 8.0, Mohammad 8.0, Kerry 7.9, Paul 8.1.
Judges’ comments: a good entry from Paramaribo this week, we particularly like the front three quarter angle of the shot and the arch crossover just above the tail.
James 8.0, Mohammad 7.8, Kerry 7.8, Paul 7.9.
Judges’ comments: A strong contender from the team at Porto this week, with the mist being formed as the cold water hits the scorched ramp a particular standout.
James 7.8, Mohammad 7.7, Kerry 7.7, Paul 7.8.
Judges’ comments: A case of what could have been for this great arch featuring a small rainbow in the middle. Unfortunately the lack of fire trucks in shot prevent it from being a winner this time round.
James 7.5, Mohammad 7.3, Kerry 7.4, Paul 7.2.
Judges’ comments: Whilst the ramp and aircraft certainly got an admirable soaking at Riga this week, more accurate water arches did score more highly this week.
James 6.5, Mohammad 6.8, Kerry 6.6, Paul 6.5.
