Wizz Air Hamburg to Varna
Wizz Air connected the Bulgarian city of Varna to Liverpool on July 17. LJLA’s Commercial Director, Lucy O’Shaughnessy, joins Wizz Air crew and Tom Spencer, Aviation Development Intern at Liverpool John Lennon Airport to celebrate the first flight to Bulgaria’s Black Sea resort of Varna.
- Wizz Air launched its latest venture with the introduction of its newest Varna (VAR) to Liverpool (LPL) route on 17 July. According to OAG Schedules Analyser Wizz Air will utilise an A320 aircraft three times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to cover the 2,504-kilometre sector. Paul Winfield, Director of Aviation Development for Liverpool John Lennon Airport said: “We are delighted to see Wizz Air continue to grow their operations from Liverpool with passengers from across the North West and North Wales now having the opportunity to fly direct from Liverpool to summer holiday resorts along the popular Black Sea Coast.” No other carrier currently serves the city-pair.
