IndiGo connects Riyadh from Mumbai and Delhi

IndiGo’s new route from Delhi to Riyadh

  • IndiGo this week started daily flights to Riyadh (RUH) from Delhi (DEL) and Mumbai (BOM). The LCC began them on 12 October (Delhi) and 13 October (Mumbai), both with a 180-seat A320. IndiGo has been looking to better connect India and Saudi Arabia, with significant labour flows between the two countries, and started this trend by launching a Mumbai – Jeddah route back in June. Taking a look at our route snapshot, we see LCC (IndiGo/SpiceJet), hybrid (flynas) and FSC (Air India/Saudia) models attempting to better segment the market. Saudia alone offers three A330 configurations on the route, aiming to better target the specific demographics of each departure.
