LATAM lands in Brasilia from Santiago

Amongst those celebrating the launch at the ribbon-cutting were Andrea Wolleter, National Director of Sernatur (second left); Juan Luis Rodríguez, Airport Director Santiago (third left) and Carlos Sobral Duarte, Brazilian Ambassador to Chile (fourth left).

  • LATAM on 15 October launched three-times-weekly services between Santiago de Chile (SCL) and Brasilia (BSB). The route was previously unserved, and is operated by a 162-seat A320. LATAM recently sent shockwaves through the industry with the announcement it would soon leave oneworld, and enter a strategic partnership with Delta. In S19, current oneworld partner carrier British Airways serves Santiago daily from London Heathrow, whist Qantas offers a Melbourne and Sydney service.
