The crew celebrates the launch of Xiamen Air’s three times weekly flight between Quanzhou and Clark on 27 October with Huang Guohui, EVP Xiamen Air (centre).
- Xiamen Air introduced three-times-weekly flights to Clark International from Quanzhou on 28 October, using a 737-800. Seoul flights from Clark also launched in the same week (Korean Air, commenced 27 October). From Quanzhou to the Philippines, 229,000 passengers flew in the year to October 2019, split almost equally between Xiamen Air and Philippine Airlines. Manila accounted for 200,000 of these, and Xiamen’s new route to Clark provides additional capacity in Metropolitan Manila, perhaps aided by Manila Aquino’s severe slot shortage.
