COVID 19: airBaltic, Austrian and SAS suspend operations

- In the past 24 hours, airBaltic, Austrian Airlines and SAS Scandinavian Airlines have announced a temporary suspension of operations, amidst “non-existent” demand according to SAS’ CEO, Rickard Gustafson. In the case of SAS, the carrier will be able to undertake rescue flights should authorities require it. According to OAG Schedules Analyser, the three airlines have over 1.1 million combined seats this week. SAS is the largest, with 70% of this, with Austrian second (20%) and airBaltic third (10%).
