Air Arabia Abu Dhabi takes off
Abu Dhabi to Alexandria Borg El Arab
Air Arabia Abu Dhabi began its flight first on 14 July: from the UAE capital to Alexandria Borg El Arab, northern Egypt.
The carrier’s 2,558-kilometre is the first for the new AOC, which has the IATA code 3L. Air Arabia Abu Dhabi is a joint venture between Air Arabia and Etihad.
Alexandria was previously served by Etihad. It ended in 2012, before operating seasonally in 2019. The carrier was planning a summer-seasonal Alexandria service this year too, but it was switched to Air Arabia Abu Dhabi.
Etihad will now code-share with Air Arabia Abu Dhabi.
