Budapest Airport and anna.aero Runway Run 2020 is on!
Budapest Airport Runway 13R-31L will host this year’s Runway Run on Saturday 19 September 2020
The annual charity race Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run, organised on the Hungarian gateway’s runway will be held for the eighth time this year. As in the past, Runway 13R-31L will be closed for the duration of the event and will see aviation professionals, athletes, and representatives of the tourism sector participate in the now renowned aviation sporting event. Continuing our support of worthwhile causes, all entry fees will be donated to the SUHANJ! Foundation and the Anthony Nolan Foundation.
While there will of course be some adjustments to meet regulations and ensure everyone’s health and safety, the team behind the run believe it’s crucial to support charities during this difficult time by maintaining the tradition of the annual running race. Dr. Rolf Schnitzler, CEO, Budapest Airport, says: “The Runway Run is a high-priority event in the life of the airport each year. This year it is even more special as these difficult months require us to stick together more than ever. Budapest Airport, as a responsible company, deems it important to support organisations such as SUHANJ!, thanks to whom we have been sharing the joy of doing sports together for many years, and the UK-based Anthony Nolan foundation supporting the treatment of children with leukaemia. Together we are stronger.”
