Training underway for this year’s Budapest Airport – Runway Run, in partnership with Lufthansa Technik

Budapest Airport’s aviation development team take to the gateway’s 13R-31L runway on a light warm-up exercise ahead of this year’s Budapest Airport – Runway Run.  The group is looking ready to welcome all on the tarmac next month.

Training never stops for those dedicated Budapest Airport – Runway Run runners, as Budapest Airport’s own running team took to the runway on a warm-up regime ahead of this year’s air transport industry’s premier charity-sportive, which will be held on Saturday 19 September.

Despite the trying times felt by all in the aviation community, the Runway Run team is standing by tradition and striving to continue to support the worthwhile charities the event has donated record sums to over the years.

Since 2013, the race has raised more than €200,000 for the Hungarian SUHANJ! Foundation and the international Anthony Nolan Foundation, changing the lives of many people.

Lufthansa Technik on-board as airline partner

At the launch of this year’s run, we confirmed that so many of our previous sponsors have pledged their support once again, not only generously donating but also by delivering essential provisions to the runners on the day.

We couldn’t be happier to now announce that Lufthansa Technik will be this year’s closely-held partner and supporter of our continued charity efforts.
