Adelaide Airport awarded Cake of the Week for new Qantas service to Gold Coast
Qantas’ Adelaide to Gold Coast service
Qantas will be basing five Embraer E190 aircraft in Adelaide to cater for the increased demand in domestic travel. As a result, Qantas launched fights between Adelaide and the Gold Coast on 25 June 2021, operating daily flights over the school holidays before returning to a four per week schedule thereafter. The daily flights represent an additional 1,316 seats per week to the market over the school holiday period.
This new service from Qantas was celebrated with a route launch cake by Ryan Burt, Qantas Operations Manager Adelaide; Brenton Cox, EGM Finance and Corporate at Adelaide Airport; Jonathan Cheong, Head of Aviation Business Development at Adelaide Airport; Tiffany Truong, Aviation Analyst at Adelaide Airport; and the Qantas Team in Adelaide.
The route launch cake has elements revolving around the iconic Surfers Paradise, Adelaide Oval, the AFL, wineries, and Kangaroo Island, among others.
