King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh celebrates multiple route launches with flynas and flyadeal

It has been a busy few weeks at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh in terms of route launches. flynas has started several new routes and flyadeal started its first international service, having previously only operated domestic services. These build on a number of new routes launched in 2021, with KLM’s Amsterdam-Riyadh service among the most notable.

flynas Riyadh-Kiev

flynas launched a new route between Riyadh and Kiev on 11 June 2021. The service is operated three times per week with an A320. Among the dignitaries pictured at the route launch are: Bander AlMohanna, CEO of flynas; Vakhrushev Vadym, Ukrainian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia; and Abdulaziz Alasaker, VP Commercial, Riyadh Airport.

flynas Riyadh-Lviv

flynas launched a new route between Riyadh and Lviv on 3 July 2021. The service is operated twice-weekly with an A320. Pictured at the route launch are senior staff from Riyadh Airport and flynas.

flynas Riyadh-Tirana

flynas began services between Riyadh and Tirana on 14 June 2021. The route is operated three times per week with an A320. Pictured at the route launch are Abdulaziz Alasaker, VP Commercial, Riyadh Airport, and Sami Shiba, Albanian Ambassador.

flynas Riyadh-Hurghada

flynas started services to Hurghada from Riyadh on 15 June 2021, operating the route three times weekly with an A320.

flyadeal Riyadh-Dubai

Saudi domestic carrier flyadeal launched its first international route on 1 July 2021 to Dubai, with the four times daily service operated using an A320. Unfortunately, Saudi Arabia closed the skies to UAE on 4 July due to increased COVID infections in UAE, so flights are currently suspended. Further international new routes to follow.
