King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh welcomes new airline SkyUp and new flynas route

King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh is experiencing continued growth. On 5 August 2021, the airport welcomed a new airline, SkyUp. The Ukrainian carrier has launched a twice-weekly service between Riyadh and Kyiv, operated with a B737.

The inaugural SkyUp service from Kyiv on 5 August 2021 received a traditional water salute on arrival into King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh.

flynas launches Riyadh-Tashkent route

On 5 August 2021, flynas launched a new route from King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh to Tashkent in Uzbekistan. The service is operated three times per week with an A320neo.
