Milwaukee Mitchell celebrates new Delta route to New York-JFK

Delta has launched a new daily nonstop service from Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) to New York-JFK. To celebrate the route launch, MKE treated travellers to New York-inspired food, gifts and music.

Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) has celebrated two route launches. Delta has launched a new daily nonstop service to New York-JFK, while Air Canada has resumed its daily nonstop service to Toronto.

The new Delta service to New York-JFK, operated with the CRJ-700, is in addition to Delta’s existing nonstop service from MKE to New York-LaGuardia. To celebrate the route launch, MKE treated travellers to New York-inspired food, gifts and music.

“We’re delighted to welcome additional service to New York, and we commend Delta for offering more ways to get travellers to the Big Apple this summer and beyond,” said Brian Dranzik, Airport Director, Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport. “There’s been an increased demand for travel to this exciting city, and we’re glad that Delta is responding by giving travellers more versatility and options by offering service to both JFK and LaGuardia.”

Air Canada resumes daily nonstop service from MKE to Toronto

Meanwhile, Air Canada has resumed its daily nonstop service to Toronto from MKE. The route, which is operated with the CRJ-200, had been suspended in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

“We’re very pleased to welcome back Air Canada and all the travellers who enjoy the popular Toronto route,” said Dranzik. “Many people are travelling this summer for the first time in two years. This relaunched nonstop service gives travellers easy access to Canada’s largest city, known for its beautiful waterfront and rich ethnic and cultural offerings, as well as nearby Niagara Falls.”
