Airbus commits to Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run

Budapest Airport and anna.aero are immensely proud that Airbus has confirmed sponsorship for the air transport industry’s charity race on Saturday 3 September 2022 on Budapest Airport’s 13R-31L runway for the sixth time.

Airbus has once again confirmed it will be a main sponsor of this year’s Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run. The 10km and 5km race donates all entry fees to international child cancer causes and a Hungarian charity assisting the inclusiveness of handicapped people in sports.

We’re ecstatic to announce that Airbus has confirmed its unwavering support of the Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run, alongside race partner Lufthansa Technik Budapest. The continued recognition for the aviation charity event is hugely important to us and the charities benefitting from the great sporting occasion which brings together airlines, airports, and the aviation community.

Alongside our main sponsors, the Runway Run couldn’t go ahead without the following closely-held partners:

Çelebi Aviation

Gebr. Heinemann

KPMG

Lufthansa Systems

Nutri8

SITA

Smarteq

SSP

SVEA

Turkish Cargo

ZNZ Preventive Technologies

Alongside Airbus and race partner Lufthansa Technik Budapest, the Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run is supported by the extensive generosity of numerous sponsors championing the charity patronage the race represents.

Previously stepping up as headline sponsor for a fifth consecutive year in 2019 (we truly believe we would be announcing this year as the eighth year in a row had it not been for the pandemic), Airbus continues its reign as a huge supporter of the Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run this September. Having signed up their own team of strong runners and taking home the ‘Fastest Aviation Enterprise’ trophy on two separate occasions in years gone by, 2022 sees the global manufacturer rounding up another team in the hope of adding to the trophy cabinet.

anna.aero and Budapest Airport continue to be serious about bringing the world’s aviation community together at one single sporting event for the benefit of its chosen charities. The runway run consists of two race distances – 10km and 5km – there’s also a children’s run of 1.5km to get the family involved. Runners can take part on an individual basis, or form teams of five or more.
