Wizz Air Abu Dhabi and Manas International Airport sign agreement for FRU-AUH route

Wizz Air Abu Dhabi has signed an agreement with Manas International Airport to launch a new route between Abu Dhabi and Bishkek. The service, which commences in June 2023, will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays with the A321neo.
Manas International Airport and Wizz Air Abu Dhabi have signed an agreement on interaction and cooperation and announced a flight programme for the airline from Manas Airport in the capital city of Bishkek.
The main goal of the partnership is to increase passenger traffic between Kyrgyzstan and the UAE, which opens up broad prospects for the development of outbound and inbound tourism between the two countries, and the strengthening of diplomatic relations.
The agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Board of MAM OJSC Manasbek Samidinov and the Managing Director of Wizz Air Abu Dhabi Johan Eidhagen. The ceremony was attended by senior executives from both companies.
In June 2023, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi plans to open a new flight on the route Abu Dhabi – Bishkek – Abu Dhabi, which will connect the capitals of the two countries. The flight will be operated three times a week on A321neo aircraft – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. It is also planned to open a flight on the route Abu Dhabi – Osh – Abu Dhabi in the near future.
In his speech, Manasbek Samidinov, Chairman of the Management Board of MAM OJSC, emphasised: “The signing of this agreement is a significant moment in the history of the development of Manas International Airport OJSC. Another step has been taken towards expanding the scale of the transport hub of the main airport of Kyrgyzstan. I am confident that our partnership with Wizz Air Abu Dhabi will only expand both in terms of the geography of flights and the number of aircraft based. In turn, we will do everything in our power to ensure that Wizz Air Abu Dhabi successfully operates and develops at MAM’s airports for the benefit of our passengers. And the infrastructure and production resources of the airports allow us to provide effective operational service of the airline’s flights.”
Johan Eidhagen, Managing Director, Wizz Air Abu Dhabi, said: “We are pleased to offer the best offer on air connectivity between Bishkek and Abu Dhabi. The new route will provide travellers between the two capitals with affordable travel options from point to point with independent connections. Our growing presence in the region confirms our commitment to promoting ultra-cheap travel to Central Asia, expanding global connectivity and opening up diverse travel opportunities for tourists and residents of Kyrgyzstan within Wizz Air’s broader network.”
