anna.aero’s Assistant Editor, Jonathan Ford, recently met with Aeroporti di Roma’s Federico Scriboni, Route Development Manager-Europe, at the inaugural ceremony of China Southern Airlines’ Guangzhou-Wuhan-Rome Fiumicino route on 17 December. The main topic of discussion was about the expanding presence of Vueling, and how the carrier has helped further develop Fiumicino as a transit hub.

easyJet’s CEO, Carolyn McCall, caught up with anna.aero’s Jonathan Ford at the opening of the airline’s new crew training centre at London Gatwick on 14 October to discuss where easyJet is planning to expand from over the next few years, and of course to see what flavoured cake she would like for easyJet’s 20th birthday celebration, which anna.aero is making.
Following a 37% increase in revenues in the first half of 2015, Small Planet Airlines (the fastest-growing leisure airline in Europe) held a special press briefing last week at its headquarters in Vilnius. We got to talk to the airline’s Head of Marketing Department, Simonas Bartkus about Small Planet’s current operations and future plans.
