All New Airline Routes
A total of 15 routes were launched by eight airlines over the course of the past seven days, including Alaska Airlines launching its first flights to El Paso, Hainan Airlines adding a second link to Dublin, plus Allegiant Air’s two new services from Sarasota.
A total of 50 routes were launched by 22 airlines over the course of the past two weeks, including 13 new services from Spirit Airlines, All Nippon Airways launching flights from Tokyo Handea to Vienna, plus LOT Polish Airlines’ second new route to London City since the start of 2019.
A total of 31 routes were launched by 25 airlines over the course of the past week, including Turkish Airlines starting its first UK route from its new Istanbul mega-hub, Air China commencing a new link from Yinchuan to Hong Kong, plus flydubai adding another Indian link to its network.
Turkish Airlines begins a four times weekly service from Istanbul New Airport to London Gatwick.
A total of 16 routes were launched by 11 airlines over the course of the past seven days, including Garuda Indonesia beginning a non-stop service between London Heathrow and Denpasar, GX Airlines commencing only its second international service from Nanning, plus VietJet Air homing in on Van Don.
A total of 28 routes were launched by 18 airlines during the past week, including HK Express commencing its 11th route to Japan from Hong Kong, Turkish Airlines launching a new capital connection between its home market and Georgia, plus AirAsia India embarking on a new connection to Mumbai.
A total of 22 routes were launched by 11 airlines during the past week, including SUN-AIR launching its second connection from Friedrichshafen and Turkish Airlines adding Ankara to London Gatwick, plus VietJet Air’s introduction of its third route to Japan.
A total of 181 routes were launched by 79 airlines between 18 December 2018 and 7 January 2019, including 26 additional airport pairs from American Airlines, Hainan Airlines adding two routes to Paris CDG, plus Qatar Airways adding its third destination in Vietnam.
A total of 82 routes were launched by 41 airlines during the past week, including China Eastern Airlines commencing a new long-haul service from Xi’an, Copa Airlines inaugurating routes 79 and 80 from Panama City, plus Air Arabia opening its newest connection from Sharjah.
A total of 40 routes were launched by 25 airlines during the course of last week, including easyJet inaugurating five new routes, Air Italy making a move for Delhi from Milan Malpensa, plus Frontier Airlines creating four new Floridian connections.
A total of 38 routes were launched by 30 airlines during the course of last week, including Jet Airways inaugurating its fourth route to Singapore, Eurowings taking over from Lufthansa between Düsseldorf and New York Newark, plus AirAsia starting three new city pairs across Asia.
A total of 20 routes were launched by 12 airlines during the course of last week, including SpiceJet launching a daily service between Delhi and Hong Kong, Virgin Australia Airlines going international from Newcastle, plus Wizz Air further expanding from Vienna.
