Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run 7.0: “The Race to Find the Fastest Airline in the World”
Budapest Airport Runway 13R-31L, Saturday 31 August 2019
Budapest Airport and anna.aero have confirmed the seventh “Race to Find the Fastest Airline in the World” will take place at 11:00 on Saturday 31 August 2019 on Budapest Airport’s Runway 13R-31L.
Get involved! Whether you’re from an airline, an airport or part of the many, many enterprises across the aviation community, we are once again inviting you all to take part in the annual air transport industry’s premier 10km charity-sportive event – “The Race to Find the Fastest Airline in the World”.
Record-breaking charity donations
Raising a record-breaking €57,600 for charity last year alone, the run, which was held again in aid of the bone marrow transplant charity, Anthony Nolan, and Hungary’s Suhanj! Foundation, a charity which supports the inclusion of disabled people in sport, has reached an overall staggering €190,000 over the last six years.
All entry fees – just €35 before 1 July 2019 – are donated to charity. Comprising of three races – 10km (four runway lengths), 5km (a distance manageable even by first-time runners) and 1km for children (6-15 years old) – the run is open to all individuals and teams (three or more runner) in the aviation community, followed by a superb barbecue on the terrace of Budapest Airport’s historic former Terminal 1 overlooking the re-opened runway.
Due to obvious security reasons when closing an active runway spaces are limited and specially reserved for those enthusiasts within the aviation community – don’t miss out on being part of the seventh Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run.
