Star Air has begun Belgaum to Surat and onto Ajmer, with the three-weekly operation government-funded. It follows the launch of Kalaburagi to Delhi Hindon.
SKY Airline started Lima to Cancun on 27 December with a four-weekly service. In 2019, there were 197,000 P2P passengers, while 258,000 connected over Lima.
SkyUp launched Kyiv to Mattala on 28 December with a reported 180 passengers arriving in the country on its first flight.
Silver Airways began Tampa – Jacksonville on 21 December, becoming the carrier’s FIFTH intra-Florida route from Tampa. It’ll be three-weekly from February.
All Nippon returned to Brussels on 17 December from Tokyo Narita. The route was Brussels’ second-thickest by non-stop seats in 2019, so its resumption was significant.
Alaska Airlines began San Diego to Jackson, WY, on 17 December, with the carrier to serve 29 destinations from the Californian airport this winter.
Air Arabia Maroc began Casablanca to Rennes on 18 December, its seventh airport to be served in France from Morocco. Its France to Morocco seats in W20 up marginally over W19.
United began Milwaukee to Tampa and Fort Myers on 19 December, with the Wisconsin airport having five routes to Florida this winter – up one from W19.
Nigeria’s Air Peace began Lagos to Johannesburg on 17 December. It has no direct competition until South African resumes it from 1 February.
American began Tampa to Key West on 17 December, competing directly with Silver Airways. 2021 will see the market have more than 100,000 seats once more.
Air Canada started Toronto – Doha on 15 December. This route fully coordinates with Qatar Airways’ North America schedules, showing the closeness of the carriers’ partnership.
Virgin Atlantic began Heathrow – Islamabad on 12 December and -Lahore the following day. Islamabad is by far the top Pakistani city to the UK.
