Launceston’s historic Miss Flinders aircraft celebrates 90th anniversary
The team at Launceston Airport along with the Tasmanian Aviation Historical Society celebrated the 90th anniversary of the first flight of Miss Flinders, one of only three remaining Desoutter Mk. II Monoplanes. An incredible cake with a replica of the aircraft was made to commemorate the occasion.

Virgin Atlantic announces partnership with LATAM Airlines
Virgin Atlantic has announced a new codeshare agreement with LATAM Airlines. Customers booking through Virgin Atlantic are now able to travel from Heathrow direct to São Paulo, as well as connecting onwards onto 12 domestic airports in Brazil including Rio de Janeiro, Salvador and Florianopolis.
airBaltic opens new base at Tampere
airBaltic will open a new base in Tampere in May 2022, connecting Tampere with six direct routes to Oslo, Copenhagen, Frankfurt, Munich, Malaga and Rhodes, in addition to continued operations to Riga.
