31 new routes have seen the light of day in the last week, but which two Asian carriers entered a new country market each? Which European charter carrier changed business models and began scheduled operations? And which US state capital got its second route with big jets?

Over 60 new routes this week with a strong bias towards European LCCs. Cimber Sterling, easyJet, Jet2.com, Ryanair and Wizz Air all launched multiple routes. But AirAsia, Avianova, BA CityFlyer, Delta, Flydubai, Southwest, Spanair and Transaero among others all had reasons to celebrate this week.
