Since we began sending anna.aero to the world’s network planning community in July 2007, we have identified over 4,000 new routes, started by 400 brave airlines from across the globe. Ryanair alone has launched over 500 of these, followed by easyJet with 200, Wizz Air with over 100, and Norwegian and WestJet with almost 100 each.
We now have over 500 stories in our searchable database going right back to our launch in July 2007. Our first lead story was on America’s newest LCC Skybus but which stories have proved to be the most popular with you, our readers.
This week anna.aero made its live debut as part of ACI Europe’s massive Airport Exchange conference and exhibition in Berlin. Delegates attending heard presentations and lively discussion from Air Berlin, Berlin Airports, Blue1, Brussels Airport, Gulf Air, Jacksonville Aviation Authority, jet4you, KLM, LFV, Moscow Domodedovo, Ryanair, S7 and SH&E.
anna.aero live and unplugged at the Berlin Messe: You could spend the first days of this winter in your office reading newspaper articles about route cutbacks. Or you could do something that will genuinely give your shareholders a return on investment, by meeting with lots of other top airline and airport subscribers at anna.aero’s 1st Network Planner’s Marketplace. The event will be staged at ACI EUROPE’s major Airport Exchange convention, hosted by Berlin Airports, from October 27-29th, at the Berlin Messe.
We look back on our first year and reflect on some of the major changes. How many new routes did airlines start in the last 12 months and which airlines have given us most to write about? Which airlines, airports, bases and countries have we examined and what are we going to be focusing on in the future?

Almost a year after we launched this free service for the worldwide network planning community anna.aero has opened The Route Shop – the virtual store where airlines can go to browse new air services. Produced in association with ACI EUROPE, four airports already have placements in The Route Shop offering a total of 23 new long and short-haul services together with information on marketing and financial support. More postings have been made… frequent browsing is advisable… oh and did we mention, it’s FREE TO USE!
