Ryanair to launch French bases at Bordeaux and Marseille in S19; anna.aero’s predictions prove correct
In January, Ryanair indicated that France was foremost in its thoughts for potential new operating bases and anna.aero predicted the four French airports most likely to host a hub. On 27 September the ULCC confirmed that two of these airports, Bordeaux and Marseille, will become bases in time for S19.
American Airlines has confirmed that it will add nine new routes to its transatlantic network for S19, however it will also close six existing services. Jonathan Ford highlights the impact of the carrier’s network restructure on its capacity, plus looks into the demand potential of the new destinations it will serve.

This is the third time that we have undertaken a review of the now 99 Unserved Route of the Week opportunities anna.aero has featured. With our success rate improving from 16% to 22% between the same articles last year, the hit rate has climbed again, to above one in four.
