1,024 entrants lined up for the 10th Budapest Airport Runway Run on Saturday 3 September on the airport’s Runway 13L/31R. For the first time, the “Sunset Run” moved from its traditional hot midday sun slot to a cooler early evening mass start.
Almost 700 runners took part in the ninth Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run, partnered with Lufthansa Technik and numerous supportive sponsors. As always, there were many prizes to be won, with home team Wizz Air defending its title of ‘The Fastest Airline in the World’.

All entry fees for the Budapest Airport-anna.aero Runway Run are entirely donated to international blood cancer charity, Anthony Nolan, and the Hungarian charity assisting the inclusiveness of handicapped people in sports – SUHANJ! Foundation. Both charities are very close to the organisers’ hearts and those who benefit from the event and vital funds raised.
